The user does not have to give personal information in viewing the contents of this Portal and downloading forms and publications. No personal information about the user is collected unless s/he chooses to provide it, or required by a specific university office to authenticate the user, and facilitate its transaction. If the user voluntarily provides personal information, the information may be used to either (a) transact business with the user or (b) conduct statistical analyses of user activities to measure user interest on the information provided in the Portal and how ADMU provides it. In both cases, the user's personal information is never divulged to any third party and will solely be used for official ADMU activity as stated above.
However, the Portal may collect and store standard, non-personal information as the user browses through the Portal's contents, reads pages, or downloads forms and other data.
The type of non-personal information may include one or more of the following:
1. Name of the domain from which you access the Internet;
2. The type of browser and operating system used to access the Portal;
3. The date and time of access;
4. The page where the user entered, the pages accessed, and the page exited; and
5. The user's IP (Internet Protocol) address.
The above information would be used to count the number and types of visitors to the different pages in the Portal for statistical analyses to assist the Portal Team in improving the site's usefulness.
